Emotions and Our Bodies
"Where do you feel that in your body?"
If you've ever been to a therapist, you've likely heard that question asked! There's a reason it is such a therapist cliche: it's a really great thing to reflect on! If feelings give us information, then our bodily sensations give us information as well, and often help us understand what it is we are actually feeling.
My friend, Lindsay Braman, is a wonderful therapist and psychoeducator. She created this really helpful Emotion-Sensation Wheel that can be used to help connect what we are feeling in our bodies to emotions, which we can then use to make decisions.
