Julie earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regent University in 2018. She has worked in private practice, as well as in community mental health settings. She works with a variety of different clients dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression and trauma.
I think every client has a story that they want to tell. I feel very deeply about learning about my clients. I want to know where they come from, what got them to where they are today and where they want to be in their lives. I am ready to take that journey with each of them. I am passionate about helping them achieve whatever goals they are trying to.
I believe in looking at our well-being from a holistic approach and incorporating a client’s spirituality into treatment. I work from a relational, client-centered approach. My therapy focuses on empowering the client to achieve a sense of self-acceptance, self-confidence and using their strengths and the resources available to them in affecting change. The client/counselor relationship is based on mutuality and equality. We will work together on understanding the problem, assessment and treatment.
